Dear Members and Colleagues
To all our Members and Colleagues in the Caribbean Community the Board of IPCA would like to express their thoughts and concerns regarding the global pandemic that the world is currently facing.
With the uncertainties and hardships the Coronavirus COVID-19 has bought, the necessary isolations imposed on countries around the world are felt particularly by those in the Caribbean Islands. Whilst the islands’ geographical detachment and size may be of benefit in hopefully preventing the rapid spread of this disease, we cannot forget that we are all neighbours and share many common concerns.
Not only are the personal effects being keenly felt, but also the economic realities, which are starting to hit hard for many local business, particularly in countries where tourism is a major factor, and also in the legal and financial sectors.
Our thoughts and well -wishes are with you all at this time. Hopefully this crisis will soon pass, recovery will be rapid and the future will again be bright.
We urge everyone to follow the advice of their local authorities and are grateful to those in the health services industry for their tireless efforts to keep us all safe and well.
